About Cupellation Furnace

Cupellation Furnace manufactured by United Enterprises is a specialty high-temperature furnace built for cupellation the final stage of fire assay where the lead button is oxidised away on a porous cupel, leaving a precious-metal bead.

Brief Description:

We manufacture and export best-in-class Cupellation Furnaces, used in fire assay laboratories. The cupellation process is carried out at 950C1000C in air lead oxidises into PbO, which is absorbed by the porous cupel, leaving behind a bead of gold, silver or platinum group metals.

Our Cupellation Furnaces use SiC heating elements, multilayer refractory insulation and microprocessor-based temperature controllers. Air is supplied through engineered openings for efficient lead oxidation.

Each unit is engineered around the customers daily sample volume and assay standards.
