Heavy steel plates need uniform reheating across thickness and width to avoid surface defects and rolling problems downstream. Our plate reheating furnaces use walking hearth or roller hearth designs with multi-zone burners to deliver uniform temperature.

Recuperative gas-fired burners and tight refractory insulation deliver excellent fuel economy. Each furnace is custom-engineered for the customers plate size, throughput and process whether reheating before rolling or before quench-and-temper heat treatment.

A: For very heavy plates, walking hearth is preferred. For lighter plates and higher production rate, roller hearth is the better option.
