Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) is mandated by ASME, EN, IBR and other applicable codes for many welded fabrications to relieve residual welding stresses, restore ductility in the heat-affected zone and ensure long-term reliability under pressure and fatigue. Our PWHT Furnaces are built with heavy-duty refractory, multi-zone burner or electric heating systems, and tight temperature uniformity (commonly within 14C as per code requirements).

Configurations include bogie / car-bottom, top-hat (hood), walk-in chamber and pit designs. Both electric and recuperative gas-fired heating versions are available, with high-efficiency recuperators for fuel saving. SCADA-based recipe management, chart recorders and multi-point thermocouple harnesses ensure full traceability and code compliance.

Each PWHT furnace is engineered around the customers component size, weight, ramp / soak profile and applicable code. We also undertake site PWHT services through localised heating and insulation when components cannot be moved.
