Anti-Flaking Treatment Furnace manufactured by United Enterprises is a specialty dehydrogenation furnace designed to remove diffusible hydrogen from heavy steel plates, preventing hydrogen flakes and sub-zero embrittlement.

Brief Description:

Hydrogen flakes detected in ultrasonic testing of heavy steel plates can cause sudden brittle failure, particularly at low temperatures. Anti-flaking treatment slowly drives out the diffusible hydrogen during a long, controlled heat treatment cycle.

Our anti-flaking treatment furnaces are built with heavy-duty refractory, special air-recirculation fans and tight PLC / SCADA-based temperature control. United Enterprises is the only firm in India to have successfully manufactured and commissioned an Anti-Flaking Furnace, built in a record time of just 2 months.

Each unit is engineered around the customers plate dimensions, weight and hydrogen-level targets.
