About Hardening Furnace
Hardening Furnace manufactured by United Enterprises is used for the heat treatment process in which steel is held at a suitable temperature until it transforms into austenite, and then rapidly quenched to achieve high hardness.
Brief Description:
We manufacture and export best-in-class Hardening Furnaces, used for case hardening, cementation, carbonitriding, quenching, carburizing, austempering and tempering processes. Our Hardening Furnaces are supplied with gas generators such as Ammonia Crackers, Hydrogen Generator, Nitrogen Generator, Endo Gas Generator and Exo Gas Generator all manufactured by us to provide a controlled atmosphere inside the furnace.
Configurations include mesh belt, pusher, sealed quench, rotary retort and box types, depending on component size and throughput. Both electric and recuperative gas-fired heating versions are available.
Each unit is engineered for the customers part mix, atmosphere and target hardness.

FAQ's of Hardening Furnace:
Q: How does the digital PID controller enhance temperature accuracy in the hardening furnace?
A: The digital PID controller continuously monitors and adjusts the heating elements, ensuring the furnace maintains the set temperature within a narrow tolerance. This feature prevents overheating and promotes uniform hardening, essential for high-quality heat treatment outcomes.
Q: What are the benefits of using Kanthal or Nichrome heating elements in this furnace?
A: Both Kanthal and Nichrome elements offer exceptional durability and efficient heat distribution, allowing the furnace to reach temperatures up to 1200C. These materials withstand repeated thermal cycling, ensuring long service life and reduced maintenance costs.
Q: When should I choose the rapid cooling system for my application?
A: The optional rapid cooling system is recommended when process efficiency or specific metallurgical properties require quick temperature reduction post-heat treatment. It helps reduce cycle times and supports processes that demand strict thermal management.
Q: Where can this hardening furnace be installed, and how is it customized to fit workspace requirements?
A: The furnace is suitable for installation in industrial settings such as metalworking factories and heat treatment plants. Dimensions, capacity, mounting, and power specifications are fully customizable according to your facility's layout and operational needs.
Q: What atmosphere options are available, and how do they influence the hardening process?
A: You can choose between standard air or a controlled gas atmosphere. A controlled gas environment helps prevent oxidation and supports specific metallurgical outcomes, which is beneficial for treating sensitive metals or achieving particular surface qualities.
Q: How does the furnace ensure safe and reliable operation during industrial use?
A: The furnace includes multiple safety mechanisms, such as automatic power cut-off in abnormal conditions, an emergency stop switch, and comprehensive insulation. The fully automatic control panel monitors key parameters, ensuring safe and efficient batch processing.
